Builder's description
This boat is the perfect compromise between the iconic 450 model and the 52. It offers an appealing option for sailors looking for a large, owner-oriented, “seaworthy and modern” boat. With its new visual identity, rig, and hull design, it offers enhanced performance, creating a unique brand signature. Indeed, the elegance of the 50's is captivating, with its hulls' beveled shape, generous volume, and panoramic views more impressive than ever. With unparalleled layout options, this new model is available with three, four, or even... six cabins! EXTERIOR: COMFORTABLE AND FUNCTIONAL A flybridge with two secure access points and a helm station offers perfect visibility. Behind the helm station, a spacious, modular relaxation area conceals storage large enough for all the cushions. A large cockpit open to the sea, wide aft platforms for easy access aboard, and a large, modular dining area with removable benches to accommodate guests of all ages. A second cockpit for enjoying the foredeck even more, with a dual function: seating or sun lounger, level with the forward trampoline. Plenty of storage under most of the cockpit and flybridge seats. INTERIOR: GENEROUS VOLUME AND NATURAL LIGHT The spacious layout reveals an innovative design in which every detail has been considered to create a warm, convivial atmosphere. The design lets everyone choose the layout they want, with three, four, five, or even six cabins! An innovative two-level saloon concept offering two distinct but connected spaces: a large galley open to the cockpit on one side, and a slightly raised lounge for better panoramic views, which can easily be converted into a dining area when needed. An innovative interior design, with a new, elegant and elaborate wood finish that the owner can customize. Remarkable connection between inside and outside: the central panoramic windshield is retractable, which is ideal for ventilating the saloon and cockpit. This allows interaction with the forward area. Exceptional natural light in the aft cabins, equipped with panoramic glazing and large hull windows in the showers and bathrooms. Volume and comfort in the hulls, with particular attention to storage: cabins with island beds forward and aft, generous storage space, wardrobes, and open bookshelves. Large fresh-water and black-water tanks located beneath the floors, providing considerable space. A gray-water tank is available as an option to meet environmental standards. NEXT-GENERATION RIG: PERFORMANCE AND SIMPLICITY The choice to position the mast step farther aft, directly drawing on VPLP's racing-sailing experience, gives this catamaran multiple advantages: a self-tacking jib for simpler maneuvers. A large forward triangle for a wider choice of downwind sails: a performance advantage, A shorter boom for easier maneuvers. A high-aspect-ratio mainsail, allowing it to capture better airflow in the upper parts of the sail for optimized performance. Centralizing the weight by positioning the rig aft considerably reduces the boat's pitching.
