2016 Lagoon 42
$429,737Athens, Greece
Overview
Launched in 2016, this Lagoon 42 is presented in its owner’s version, the most sought-after configuration in the series: an entire hull dedicated to the owner’s suite, with its own bathroom and separate shower, while the guest cabins occupy the second hull. Designed by VPLP, it offers the living space of a cruising catamaran on a platform measuring 12,80 meters by 7,70, certified to Category A. In second ownership, it has been prepared by its current owners for living aboard and self-sufficient cruising. Several major items have recently been attended to. The engines underwent a major service in 2026, including replacement of the heat exchanger and reconditioning of the saildrive seal—two jobs that are key to the boat’s long-term reliability. The trampolines have been replaced with a new black set, and the seat cushions were reupholstered and refurbished this year. The boat is therefore presented with its main wear items already addressed. Propulsion is provided by two Yanmar engines on saildrives, with approximately 2 200 hours in total. The aluminum-mast sloop rig carries a mainsail on a lazy bag and a furling genoa. All sail handling is done from the raised helm station, within reach of the winches and rope clutches. The cockpit is protected by a hardtop covering the entire outdoor living area. It is finished in teak, as are the side decks, and extends aft to a stainless-steel arch fitted with davits. The dinghy is carried there permanently, with its outboard on a dedicated mount, leaving the stern platforms clear for access to the water. Forward, the new trampolines and foredeck provide a second relaxation area, served by an electric windlass. The interior is arranged around a spacious, light-filled saloon with windows on both sides, an L-shaped settee, a saloon table and a flat-screen TV. The galley is adjacent, equipped with a cooktop, a built-in oven and a stainless-steel sink set into a dark countertop. Two meters of headroom and panoramic windows give the interior an uncommon brightness for a boat of this size. The navigation electronics are by B&G, with a multifunction chartplotter at the helm, repeater displays, an autopilot and a heading compass. The electrical panel and battery monitor are grouped at the top of the companionway. The owners have also equipped the boat with solar power, a battery bank sized for self-sufficiency, a watermaker and a satellite internet connection, all installed with extended stays at anchor in mind. The hot-water system, pressurized water system and service equipment are accessible from the technical lockers. The boat sails under the French flag. Details of the added equipment and work carried out are available on request. TOFALE is available for viewing in Greece by appointment. We are at your disposal to arrange a viewing or send you the complete file.
