Overview
"Arcadia" is a 48' four cabin/four head Aquila power catamaran that was specially ordered and custom modified at the factory by the manufacturer as per the requirements of the original purchaser. She was modified to carry a Hell's Bay Boatworks, 17.8 professional flats skiff or any other similar skiff with similar specifications across her stern. In addition to a skiff she carries a 13' AB hard bottom inflatable tender on a davit suspended above. She is not your stock version of the Aquila 48' four cabin. This vessel was custom modified at the factory by extending the hulls astern for more floatation and lift to support the extra weight of a skiff and the tender. The hydraulics and the swim platform were custom engineered and modified by enlarging the lift platform deck and fabricating special mounts for the hydraulics that allow clearance while deploying and retrieving the skiff. Custom rolling and removable support chocks were fabricated and installed in the platform deck for the skiff. The support chocks can be easily removed and stowed and then replaced with custom teak panels that cover the rails of the support hardware. This in combination with three 12" Accon pop up cleats along the aft edge of the platform deck make a clean unobstructed deck surface that functions as an enlarged swim platform when a skiff is not onboard. Spectra Water makers MPC5000 w/ auto flush and 3 Membrane Reverse cycle chilled water air conditioning Dometic, TWCX24C-SC DDC 410A 2361 5B, chillers. (24000 BTU ea.) New AC system (installed, January 2024). 2 x 55W solar panels on hard top. Victron Energy 12/110 volt, 3000 VA inverter/charger.

330 HP engines upgraded to 2 x 370 HP, turbo charged, Volvo D6 engines. Approximately 2,017 hrs on each as of 06/08/26. Engine manifolds upgraded from 4" to 7" Spare props with storage brackets x 2, located in the port side engine room. Rope cutters x 2, upgraded to Spurs line cutters. Cutlass bearings x 2 upgraded to Johnson Duramax water lubricated rubber bearings. Shaft seals upgraded to x 2 Tides Marine drip free shaft seals. Cranking batteries for main engines and generator replaced, March 2022. All 5, 12 volt, Mastervolt, AGM, 270 AH, house batteries replaced, January 2025.
