Here's what makes this particular boat special: most Lagoon 42s come with an awkward desk and a bulky couch that eats the most useful space in the owner's suite. This one left the factory without the couch — replaced with a proper full-size desk, additional storage cabinets, and a bookshelf. The current owner ran a software company from this desk for 18 months, and the space is pre-wired to support dual monitors. If you plan to work from the water, you won't find a better setup on a 42. The salon is bright and open with a large sliding door connecting seamlessly to the cockpit. Comfortable seating, a smart TV, and a clean nav station make it functional underway or at anchor. The port hull features two guest cabins, each with its own head — a dry head aft and a wet head forward. Climate control is exceptional: four independent HVAC units, one in each cabin plus a dedicated unit for the salon, so everyone aboard sets their own temperature. Connectivity — Built for Working Aboard The Starlink installation goes well beyond the typical setup: Stainless Starlink mount integrated into the solar arch Hardwired ethernet from the arch directly to the owner's suite desk Secondary backup ethernet run to the port engine room Backup 12V power source wired to the owner's suite Internet redundancy designed by someone whose livelihood depended on it. Galley 3-burner stove and oven Brand-new (2026) air fryer / microwave / convection oven combo, mounted on a custom shelf that keeps it up and out of the way — freeing valuable galley storage below Top-loading freezer plus three refrigerators — provision for weeks, not days One-of-a-kind cutting board, handcrafted by the owner as a gift for his new wife, custom-fitted to nest seamlessly into the galley — it stays with the boat Electrical & Power This is one of the standout areas of the boat. 450Ah lithium battery bank (3x 150Ah SuperB) 2,910 watts of solar across 7 dedicated Victron MPPT charge controllers: 6x 420W panels, each with its own Victron MPPT — every panel keeps producing at full output even when another is shaded (2,520W) 3x 130W walk-on panels atop the cockpit with a dedicated Victron MPPT (390W) MasterVolt 2000W inverter Dedicated Victron battery charger 220V shore power Cummins Onan 13.5kW marine generator (MDKDN 8140A) — serious capacity for a boat this size Between the solar, lithium, and generator, you have three layers of power independence. The 2,910W solar array with individual MPPT controllers per panel, the redundant Starlink installation, and the 13.5kW Cummins Onan generator give you power and connectivity most boats in this class simply can't match. But the real differentiator is the owner's suite. While most Lagoon 42s waste their best real estate on a couch nobody uses, this boat has the layout remote workers dream about: a full-size desk with dual-monitor capability, extra storage, and a bookshelf — a workspace proven by 18 months of running a software company from anchor. Whether you're planning to cruise full-time, work from the water, or both, Aphrodite is ready to go tomorrow.
